And when they introduce the “touge queen” or whatever female model they hired for that shoot, why in the hell do viewers need to know her blood type? Her A type blood won’t make someone faster than a person with AB type blood. Meanwhile, a Japanese man is yodeling about chickens in German.

I know in South Korea blood types all have specific personality traits associated to them. So if someone asks you, “what’s your blood type,” it’s the same as asking an American, “what’s your sign?”

I would do neither of those things.

I will assume by the video you posted (and by the reference to togue) that the show is Japanese.
In Japanese culture, blood type is often listed in people’s vital stats (not just women) or measurements, because they associate blood types with personality traits. It’s similar to the horoscope treatment in the west. If your blood type is O, then your personality is likely outgoing, confident, maybe a little proud. If you’re type A, you’re thought to be quiet, cautious, stubborn, and maybe a little high strung. Type B’s are wild cards: Koalla Su from Love Hina or Ed from Cowboy Bebop archetypes.
